The unique environment of the Red Sea is home to around 1200 different species of fish. Out of this approximately 20% can't be found anywhere else. Here you have the chance to see dolphins, turtles and different kinds of sharks including oceanic white tips, thresher sharks and hammerheads, plus millions of smaller fish in a myriad of colours in this natural aquarium. With amazing visibilty all year round and comfortable temperatures this is the perfect place for any diver. Partly due to the amount of coral reefs in the Red Sea there is also a vast number of wrecks in easily diveable depths.
In the Hurghada area of the Red Sea there are some really amazing dive sites in easy reach. From drifting along the deep walls of Small Giftun to searching for the Frog Fish at El Fanadier there is something for every level of diver. Or if you prefer wreck diving there are several wrecks in the Hurghada area including an Egyptian minesweeper sunk by Israeli fighter planes during the war when Egypt was fighting Israel. The wreck now lies in 30m of water just outside of the harbour. There are also a number of wrecks in deeper water for the technical divers out there including an offshore supply vessel which lies between 85m – 105m.
